Clarivate is seeking an experienced Manager, User Experience Design to join our growing, global team! In this role, you will be leading a team of UX designers to provide exceptional user experiences across a suite of tools that support scholarly research, funding, and publishing. Partnering with product and technology leads on strategic initiatives, you will aid in the alignment of UX efforts to business objectives. You will demonstrate and develop team expertise in user experience disciplines such as user research, visual design, or accessibility. The UX Manager will lead and coordinate UX work within the Research and Analytics group for the Academia & Government segment and serve as a strategic partner to VP of product management to help create a user-centric vision and roadmap for the full portfolio.About you -- experience, education, skills and accomplishments…Bachelor's Degree AND/OR equivalent training/professional work experience in one of the following areas or a related field – Library Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology, Graphic Design, Visual Communications8+ or more years of industry experience in interface design, web design, information architecture, usability, visual design, or similar field3+ years leading teams to successful project executionProven experience producing appealing and effective web-based applications on large projectsExpertise and established reputation in one or more UX practices (user research & analytics, visual design, interaction design & prototyping)Mastery of tools and processes within the practice area (e.g., Expertise with design tools such as Figma, Axure, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or usability analysis and testing tools)It would be great if you also had...Advanced degree in HCI, design or similar fieldFamiliarity with academic research and scholarly publishingAbility to effectively mentor and develop less experienced team membersExperience leading development projects, including ability to integrate user centered design practices with an agile development approachUnderstanding of accessibility standards and validation methodsAbility to understand and apply analytics and usage data as part of user researchWhat will you be doing in this role?...Leading the user experience team who supports the Research and Analytics business  Leading UX work on large cross-disciplinary or cross business unit product development effortsApplying known and emerging user centered design methodology to develop an understanding of user needs and expectationsServing as a strategic partner to business leads, ensuring product concepts are valuable, usable and feasible, and achieve desired business outcomesTaking the design process from ideation through full product cycle, helping others on multifunctional teams align to and deliver against a clear user experience vision for the given productDefining criteria for design success and determines appropriate ways to measure and evaluate design success and usefulness on an on-going basisStaying current with, and appropriately applying, emerging UI trends, knowledge of interactive landscape (both mobile and web-based), competitors, and complimentary productsManaging individual contributors by reviewing employee performance, hiring, overseeing employee day-to-day activities, supporting employee development, and executing on performance correctionMay also help lead a UX practice area (User Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, etc.) by establishing best practices, processes and tool sets; coaching others in carrying out practice related tasks on various projectsHours of Work:Full time, permanentHybrid opportunity located within a commutable distance to one of our US-based offices#CBClarivate is an Equal Opportunity Employer Vets/Minorities/Women/Disabled
