We are looking for a Business Solution Consultant to join our Academic and Government team in Singapore to support our South East Asia and Australia/New Zealand clients. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who understands complex products and platforms and is able to simplify and persuade a wide range of audiences on how great Clarivate tools are! Specifically, the Business Solution Consultant is responsible for providing presales support and consultancy to the sales team, prospects and customers throughout the sales cycle. You will be joining a team of 10 Solution Consultants and working closely with many other regional teams and the role reports to the Director of Solution Consulting. We are a great team with many coming from the industry we serve, from bench researchers, system librarians, publishers etc. and we would love to speak with you if you have experience working with academia, academic research, government policy, research management or research funding. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor’s degree, preferably science or technology subject. 3+ years’ experience in academia, academic research, government policy, research management, research funding, or similarSpeaking experience in domain area or previous pre-sales or sales engineer type roleExcellent presentation and communication skills Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels to achieve win-win situations Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise to meet strict deadlines It would be great if you have . . . Master’s degree or PhD. Knowledge of Clarivate tools especially Web of Science, InCites or similar. Knowledge of the research ecosystem in SEA or ANZ region.A collaborative approach and able to work well in a matrix environment. Drive revenue growth in partnership with the sales team by articulating the value of Clarivate solutions such as Web of Science and InCites and Clarivate consulting services to customers through deep-dive product demonstrations and end-to-end envisioningIdentify new opportunities and potential clients and match these to Clarivate solutions and services to help drive new businessCreate bespoke solution materials such as presentations, tender documents, proposals, webinars, and sales materials based on customer needs and pain pointsSpeak about Clarivate at industry events, conferences, and workshopsProvide feedback to Product Management, Marketing, and Sales on clients’ use of products, competitor information, and product enhancement needs. About the Team The A&G Solution Consulting team are the product and customer experts that help drive sales success through their technical expertise and credibility. We work closely with our sales partners to showcase the value of Clarivate A&G solutions to customers as well work closely with product managers to ensure our client’s needs and future needs are being met. The team is spread throughout Asia Pacific so although this role is based in Singapore and focused primarily on SEA / ANZ customers, we support customers from a variety of regions from South Asia to South Korea! Hours of Work This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours to potentially support other time zones. Occasional travel is required.
