Development Operations Engineer (AWS)

We are looking for a Development Operations Engineer that will support us by creating, maintaining, and continually enhancing tools for supporting and automating the development and deployment of software solutions for our Vega product as well as representing and supporting those tools throughout the enterprise.  A cloud-first (AWS) mentality and a proven track record of delivering cloud-native solutions are essential for this role.About You… experience, education, skills, and accomplishmentsBachelor’s degree in computer science, or any other related field.Minimum 2 years of experience within a DevOps environment.Minimum 2 years of experience working in AWS auto-scaling a cloud-based systems.Minimum 2 years or experience building and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.Minimum 2 years of experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C# or Python.It would be great if you also had... ​Strong scripting and/or development skills (Python, Java, C#).Experience of Linux based containers and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)Experience running continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and AzureDevOps.What will you be doing in this role?  Work closely with operations and software engineering to design and implement solutions for efficient development, build and deployment in cloud environments.Automate the deployment process and manage infrastructure as code.Provides support for the tools and processes developed, including documentation and answering questions that may arise during use by others in the department. Keeps abreast of changes occurring in the industry, particularly new approaches or enhancements to tools; be able to use written and verbal communication to describe the possible benefits of adopting or avoiding a tool/approach.Product you will be developing: The Vega project is a very forward-thinking engagement and customer relations suite of tools for public libraries, to help library administrators reach out to and involve both their patrons and their communities in with more directed and personalized interactions.  Vega is an AWS based SaaS multi-tenant platform, with multiple cross functional components which combine to deliver a unified, connected data experience across a library’s internal and marketing data, to a customer interaction management suite that is available for use by public libraries worldwide!  About the Team          This position will be co-located with our Vega Engineering team located in Belgrade, and will need to periodically visit the office as we are working in a hybrid model.
