As VP of Product for Patent Annuities, you will have the responsibility of leading and growing our $400M+ business line. In this role you will be responsible for the product strategy, proposition development and strategic business plan for Patent Annuities, underpinned by the enabling products that support the service offering. This includes the product strategy, direction, roadmap prioritization and execution for the multiple renewals systems (i.e. Argos, PRS, AMS), customer portals (CSP, Renew, PC+) and various customer facing outputs and documents.  You will work collaboratively with other stakeholders on the development of new innovative offerings by customer segment, through connecting the Patent Annuities service with other assets and services across the Clarivate group, i.e. IP Management Software interfaces and patent intelligence suite. The VP will work closely with colleagues in product, operations, technology, marketing and sales as well as managing a team of product leads overseeing this portfolio of services. The challenge will be delivering the near-term business objectives across the product areas, while executing on a plan to future proof the services through technology investment and adoption. Ideal candidates are passionate about understanding user needs and building great products that solve meaningful problems. Candidates will have the strong analytical and commercial skills needed to align the roadmap with Clarivate’s commercial strategy to best fit our customer needs and deliver our value in the market.The successful candidate will be a true partner for the sales organization, leading in customer and new prospect meetings promoting the product service and benefits, and in correspondence as an escalation point for the product area.In this role, the candidate will be part of the IP Patent Leadership team, working collaboratively with the leaders across IP including Patent Intelligence, Patents Services, IP Software and Brand IP. You will also oversee the development of business cases, annual budgets, and manage the organization's resources to ensure that performance is in alignment with the IP Group, and wider Clarivate strategy.As a manager of people, you will build a high performing, inclusive, and engaged organization. You will act as a role model, coaching and motivating your team as well as indirect reports.  In addition, you will invest in people to drive positive employee experience, consistently attract new talent to the business at all levels and retain key high-performers and high-potential employees and develop future leaders within the organization.  Leveraging your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will communicate and align strategies across the IP Division to ensure cohesive goals and approach. You will foster open dialogue and exchange of information with colleagues in other departments to facilitate informed decision making.  About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  10+ years of experience as a leader in Product / Service Management or similar leadership role.Proven record of accomplishment in product management within corporate setting.Experience with product strategy, commercialization/product marketing, business development, and product / line of business management.Experience leading and developing a team of product managers and service owners.      Experience guiding teams and colleagues through fast-paced and difficult periods of transformation (either fast growth or digital transformation experience).A track record of delivering usage and revenue retention and growth.Experience working with an international team and global customer base.Experience of background in IP, and specifically Patent Annuities would be an advantage.Advanced degree, with MBA a plus.What will you be doing in this role? Own the overall vision, strategy, and P&L for the Patent Annuities line of business.Lead a team of product / service managers. Structure and empower this team and identify resource needs, and recruit top talent accordingly.Be the voice of your customers and users. Champion their needs both within and outside the organization. Give your team the tools they need to listen to their users, and act decisively on this feedback.Balance the need to continuously improve the service and underlying products, while working in parallel toward developing a new breed of next generation products and services to support the IP Division growth objective.Coordinate go-to-market activities in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
