Blurb We are seeking a Content Analyst/Content Editor to join our Zoological Records (ZR) team. Zoological Record is the world’s oldest continuing database of animal biology. It is considered the world’s leading taxonomic reference, and with coverage back to 1864, has long acted as the world’s unofficial register of animal names covering the entire animal kingdom, including living and fossil species. We have a great skill set in researching, abstracting, and indexing and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in editorial work. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Educational Qualification: M.Sc. Zoology or related life science streams.1+ years’ experience of content analysis/ content editing in a science-related field or in related publication domain. Freshers preferred only if done Masters in ZoologyKnowledge on animal classification, systematic taxonomy & Nomenclature will be added advantage.Knowledge in performing end of production cycle completeness, and accuracy tasks as assigned.Good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detailGeneral computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools Good oral and written communication skills, with excellent command of EnglishA good team player with the ability to work independentlyAbility to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environmentEffective time managementSelf-motivated with the ability to deliver consistently What will you be doing in this role? Apply zoology, systematic taxonomy, ICZN Nomenclature, microbiology, genetics and molecular biology concepts to curate animal and its biological related data from research articles in line with editorial policiesAchieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targetsTake active role within the team to ensure targets are metMaintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process changeTake initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues Maintain and develop scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to your editorial responsibilitiesProduct you will be developingZoological Records productsAbout the Team It is an international team based in India and UK that works mainly for the Zoological Record product.
