We are looking for a Director, Sales Operations to join our Life Science & Healthcare team in Australia. The team consists of 40 people and is reporting to the Head of Life Sciences & Healthcare, APAC. We would love to speak with you if you have experience in business development, market assessment, and strategic planning, preferably in the healthcare or data industry.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).Proven experience in business development, market assessment, and strategic planning, preferably in the healthcare or data industry.In-depth knowledge of the APAC healthcare data landscape.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate market opportunities and build compelling business cases.Demonstrable experience in change management within sales organisationsExcellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with potential partners and stakeholders.It would be great if you are . . . Experienced in Technology/SaaS sales space, with strong preference experience in high growth companies.Knowledge of data governance, operational policies, and industry standards frameworks.Familiarity with digital transformation, data management, and analytics concepts.Experience supporting growth initiatives and executing partnership deals in multiple markets.Understanding of healthcare technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, med tech, and government sectors.What will you be doing in this role? Market Assessment and Opportunity Identification:Conduct comprehensive market assessments to identify key players, trends, and opportunities in the APAC healthcare claims/hospital/insurance data sector.Analyse market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify potential business cases and revenue generation opportunities.Business Case Development:Identify and evaluate potential data sources, providers, and partnerships that align with Clarivate’s strategic objectives.Build compelling business cases for APAC healthcare data initiatives, considering factors such as market demand, financial feasibility, and potential ROI.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Life Sciences executive team, product managers, and data scientists, to gather insights and align business cases with the company's overall strategy.Partnership Development and Relationship Management:Proactively identify and engage with potential data providers, vendors, and partners in the APAC region.Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership deals to secure access to high-quality healthcare data sources.Foster strong relationships with existing partners and explore opportunities for collaboration and expansion.Strategic Planning and Execution:Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company's healthcare data business in the APAC region.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of data initiatives and projects.Monitor and track the progress of business development efforts, ensuring alignment with objectives and key results.Contribute to revenue growth and market penetration in APAC markets through effective business development strategies.Industry Expertise and Advisory Services:Provide advisory services to clients and organisations in the healthcare industry, guiding them in data-driven decision-making and transformation initiatives.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to healthcare data management and analytics.Leverage your expertise to identify opportunities for clients across healthcare technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medtech, and government sectors.Hours of Work This is a full-time permanent position with normal working hour.
