Responsible to lead and drive one of the top strategic accounts across the region. In this position, the Senior Sales Manager creates goals that comply with the attainment of the business’s overall objectives and strives to meet and exceed these goals. Prior experience with selling Digital solutions, digital transformation bundles, and Infrastructure-as-a-service will be a good to have. Change management and creative thought processes are not just jargons but a practice in your present/past experience.ResponsibilitiesTerritory PlanningDevelops and executes against a comprehensive account/territory plan leveraging internal resources (Sales Operations, Marketing, etc.)Holds team accountable to drive territory plans and account plans for key prospects and customersPartners with regional Sales Ops in annual quota setting process to set territory goalsOptimizes resources within teamForecasting & Pipeline ManagementAchieves and exceeds assigned sales targetsProvides accurate forecasts on regular cadenceEnsures operational discipline of team to meet forecast, following the principles of forecastingSets expectation and regular cadence for pipeline reviews; reporting pipeline status to direct managerBuild Customer RelationshipsPlans, builds, and maintains long-term relationships with key accountsProvides coaching on conducting quarterly customer business reviews and executive briefing with key customersFacilitates key customer relationships to ensure timely resolution of escalated customer issuesLeverage Internal & External PartnersImplements strategy and communication plan with external partners at (Reseller, Platform, etc.)Drives a coordinated sales approach with the extended sales team (Sales Engineers, Solutions Architect, Customer Care, SSA, Commercial Solutions, Sales Operations, etc.)Implements and monitors demand generation programs and campaigns in partnership with MarketingSolution SellingEnsures implementation and adoption of solution selling skills (Selling Equinix Value) in daily routines of teamApproves solutions and value proposition being laid out for opportunitiesMay have vertical expertise and advise/coach teamPeople Management & CoachingProvides leadership and direction to a team of individual contributors for defining and executing on their territory plansA minimum of 5+ years in a direct people management and leadership roleThe interaction for this role will be with Senior Leaders which will require experience in building trust and a large diverse environment.Create spirit of collaboration, evangelism, and engagement with sales teamsLeads team through changesOwns and manages discussion up to LeadershipEnsures team adoption of relevant tools available for more efficient business managementResponsible for all hiring decisions and activities, compensation, quarterly conversations, performance counselling, forecasting, coaching and career developmentEquinix is an equal opportunity employer.
