We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.ResponsibilitiesSimulations of single and multi-storey complex data centresModelling different scenarios or changes and seeing how they affect the cooling effectiveness under normal working conditions and during failure scenarios.CFD Modelling of high- and low-density cabinets, under-floor ventilation systems, racks, servers, PDU's, CRAC's, fans and diffusers.Prepare technical reports, specifications, detailed briefs.Liaise with the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and ensure an integrated solution is adopted.Assisting in increasing the reputation of CFD within the businessContribute to capacity optimization projects and specific customer requestsSupport on standardization & automation wherever possibleReporting & AnalyticsBasic level of understanding of responsibility & accountability of Capacity ManagementSupporting individual Capacity Team members as requiredQualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceExperienced in CFD modelling & analytics (ideally 6SigmaDCX)Reporting knowledge (Excel, desired Power-Bi, ideally: Tableau) Technical Writer skills desired “Flexibility that focus/working time for different supporting task can change”Accomplishment to work an integrate in a diverse team where people appreciate and support each otherAbility to learn and use tools for spatial imagination (ideally basic AutoCAD experience)Driver to understand the background and consequences of actions in a bigger pictureMotivation to directly engage with different stakeholders Identify, analyse, prioritize and solve challenges where different stakeholder needs are competingIdeally knowledge in agile working & agile working tools (optimally Jira)Above all, a great willingness to learn more and grow in this role and as a personEquinix is an equal opportunity employer.
