In this exciting role, you will be responsible for crafting, designing, developing, and operating intuitive and visually spectacular user interfaces for our software products. They will be a standout colleague, demonstrate high curiosity, and be driven to get results relentlessly.ResponsibilitiesWork with Product Management and other key collaborators to develop effective and efficient business solutions in sustainabilityResponsible for delivering solutions that meet business objectives in alignment with architectural principles & guidelinesResponsible for the design and development of user interfaces for software productsDevelop User Interface, Microservices & REST APIs (incl. Swagger and OpenAPI)Develop and maintain reusable UI components and librariesOptimize user interfaces for performance and scalabilityResponsible for operating in a DevSecOps environment with quality first mentalityParticipate in the design & peer code review processResponsible for solving and fixing production issues with SLA complianceParticipate in continuous grooming in collaboration with the Product OwnerWork in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal directionResponsible for Investigating, analyzing, and evaluating new technologiesQualificationsBachelor's or master's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of educationStrong computer programming foundation with knowledge of Data Structures, Concurrency, Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Best PracticesStrong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologiesExperience with front-end frameworks such as React or AngularKnowledge of Micro front-end (MFE) architectureKnowledge of UI design principles and best practicesExperience with user-centered design methodologies and usability testingStrong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility standardsExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and IstioExperience using a public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or GCPHands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and Test-driven developmentExcellent communication, organization, and presentation skillsGood knowledge of Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and deploymentSuccessful candidate willHave an attitude of putting the "Customer at the center of everything."Be an "Energy Supplier" who gets the team around them to excelBe a great teammate with a "We before Me" attitude and persistent, creative, and driven to achieve results relentlesslyDemonstrate the "Step up, Speak Up" value to challenge the status quo when neededExhibit a high level of curiosity and growth mindset and will stay on top of the latest trends & technologies to "Find a Better Way" and "Keep Growing."Show pride in ownership and strive for excellence in undertakingsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
