The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test cases and analyzing and reporting test results. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other engineering team members to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of Quality. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organization skills and a customer-focused attitude. They will be a phenomenal teammate, demonstrate high curiosity, and be driven to get results relentlessly.ResponsibilitiesDevelops test plans, and test suites, automate and implement tests on UI, APIs, and microservices.Builds own and manages test data for end-to-end testingDesign, develop, and complete performance and load testingImplements and certifies performance testsLeads improvement of quality processes, test frameworks, and tools and promotes Quality standard processes to ensure software quality in a continuous integration environmentDrives the end-to-end testing of features and certifies features for sprints and releasesResponsible for setting up test environmentsEngages and communicates test results and highlights any potential quality risks to collaborators.Has a keen eye for finding corner case defects in software productsParticipates and is a catalyst in the bug triage processContributes actively to an Agile scrum team to define test scope, automation, and improving feature test coverageReviews and provides recommendations to developers on functional test casesCollaborates effectively with partners, including Product Owners, Developers, and other Quality EngineersQualifications: Bachelor or Masters in computer science or equivalent with 5+ years of hands-on professional software quality automation experience with various testing techniques4+ years of hands-on experience with UI Testing and automation for a Global Software As A Service application4+ years of hands-on abilities with automating tests for RESTful APIs and microservices using TestNG and Rest Assured4+ years of hands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and Test-driven development4+ years of experience with SDLC, including unit tests, code management and build tools (Maven), code management tools (GitHub), deployment tools (GitHub Actions), and test management tools (Zephyr Scale)4+ Strong experience in developing automation using frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Protractor, Katalon3+ years of experience with performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, LoadrunnerStrong computer programming foundation with knowledge of Data Structures, Concurrency, Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Best PracticesExperience with relational (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (Redis, MongoDB, etc.).Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and IstioExperience using a public cloud like AWS, Azure, or GCPExcellent communication, organization, and presentation skillsGood knowledge of Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and deploymentSuccessful candidate willHave an attitude of putting the “Customer at the center of everything.”Be an “Energy Supplier” who gets the team around them to excelBe a standout colleague with a “We before Me” demeanor who is persistent, creative, and driven to achieve results relentlesslyDemonstrate the “Step up, Speak Up” value to challenge the status quo when neededExhibit a high curiosity and growth mindset and will keep tabs on the latest trends & technologies to “Find a Better Way” and “Keep Growing.”Show pride in ownership and strive for excellence in undertakingsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
