This role is fully based in Warsaw.The EHS Specialist will work closely with our local QISBC (Quality, Information Security and Business Continuity) Senior Analyst, local Operations Team & regional Compliance Team.This role will support Data Center Managers in ensuring that the company protects the Environment, Health and Safety of its employees, contractors and visitors at its locations in Warsaw. Travel is required between the data centers in Warsaw, and there may be some international travel for company meetings, audits and other business-related activities.ResponsibilitiesAssist data center managers in the implementation of site-level compliance policies and processes as per global requirements;Ensure EHS documentation for the EHS Management systems remains up to date and appropriate for the business needs;Maintain compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental and energy legislations;Compile all reporting required by local environmental and H&S laws and regulationsWork with local data center teams to ensure a consistent approach to the assessment of Health Safety and Environmental risks and the management of significant risksCollect and review EHS important metrics and provide appropriate reports for senior management discussionSupport the production and progress of EHS improvement plans throughout local data centers to support continual improvementProvide EHS training and support to the Operations teams to ensure consistent standardsSupport evaluation of workplace changes, processes, equipment and substances for compliance with Equinix policies and recommends corrective actionAssist internal and external audits of the EHS and Energy management systems in line with business requirements;Ensure the effective management, monitoring and reporting of an effective EHS audit program including supporting all external audits (external certification body, Insurance audits);Ensure that all accidents and near misses are documented, investigated, and recommended improvements implementedEnsure compliance issues are added to and monitored on the corrective action tracker systemMonitor internal corrective actions and improvements for effectivenessReview contractor performance on sites and arrange meetings with contractor management where there are EHS issuesLiaise with the Energy teams regarding any energy efficiency initiativesCollaborate with the EMEA EHS team for all EHS topicsQualificationsMust have:Confirmed experience in a relevant position/roleAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or equivalent)Thorough knowledge of Polish regulations in the area of occupational health and safety and environmental protectionProficiency in both written and spoken English and Polish communicationAbility to work independently, take initiative, and organize own work effectivelyInterpersonal and communication skillsAssertiveness and goal-oriented attitudeProficiency in using Microsoft OfficeNice to haveISO 45001 or ISO 14001 internal/lead auditor certificate/trainingExperience in Energy Management / ISO 50001
