We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.ResponsibilitiesWork with Product Management and other key stakeholders to develop effective and efficient business solutions in sustainabilityResponsible for delivering solutions that meet business objectives in alignment with architectural principles & guidelinesResponsible for hands-on design and development of highly available, scalable, secure, data-intensive, concurrent, globally distributed applicationsDevelop User Interface, Microservices & Restful APIs in line with industry standardsResponsible for operating in a DevSecOps environment with quality first attitudeParticipate in the design & peer code review processResponsible for solving and fixing production issues with SLA complianceParticipate in continuous grooming in collaboration with the Product OwnerWork in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal supervisionResponsible for Investigating, analyzing, and evaluating new technologiesQualificationsBachelor's or master's degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field of educationStrong computer programming foundation with knowledge of Data Structures, Concurrency, Algorithms, Design Patterns, and Best Practices5+ years of strong Java development experienceMust have strong skills in enterprise Java technology stack including JEE, Spring Boot, JPA/Spring Data, REST APIs, Swagger, maven, Hibernate ORM, JUnit, and stress testing tools such as JMeter/Load RunnerExpertise in data modeling and relational design using RDBMS and NoSQL such as Redis, MongoDBExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and IstioExperience using a public cloud like AWS, Azure, or GCPHands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and Test-driven developmentExperience in building user interfaces using React is highly desirable but not requiredExcellent communication, organization, and presentation skillsGood knowledge of Agile/Scrum, continuous integration, and deploymentSuccessful candidate willHave an attitude of putting the "Customer at the center of everything."Be an "Energy Supplier" who gets the team around them to excelBe a standout colleague with a "We before Me" demeanor who is persistent, creative, and driven to achieve results relentlesslyDemonstrate the "Step up, Speak Up" value to challenge the status quo when neededExhibit a high curiosity growth mindset and will keep tabs on the latest trends & technologies to "Find a Better Way" and "Keep Growing."Show pride in ownership and strive for excellence in undertakingsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
