Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications for the Americas, We are looking for a strategic program lead within the regional corporate communications team. In this role, this person will develop and execute internal communications strategies that build an inspiring employee experience that supports our strong, vibrant culture and cultivates a clear understanding of Equinix’s mission, goals, strategy, and success. Additionally, you will support external communications for the President of the Americas region, including platform and thought leadership, content development with unique points-of-view, social media content, and more. You will partner across the communications team to support a wide range of external communications activities including media, analyst, investor relations, and other stakeholder activities. You will work across the organization to refine our internal storytelling efforts for the region and build a programmatic approach that delivers measurable impact. You will also serve as a partner to regional executives, providing counsel and support for a broad range of high-profile internal communication efforts. Responsibilities Lead Internal Communications for Americas Region Design, build, and roll out creative employee communications programs that increase awareness, understanding, engagement and foster a deep emotional connection across a broad employee base Be an expert storyteller and incredible writer who brings out the magic of Equinix – by finding and developing compelling narratives and well-rounded campaigns that deeply resonate with employees across a variety of markets Develop and execute regional all-hands, town halls and other events - including presentation development, managing materials, logistics and coordination with speakers Develop messaging, including intranet articles, executive emails, briefing documents, talking points, video scripts and Q&A documents as needed Oversee the measurement of internal communication programs in the Americas and develop recommendations to continually improve the quality and efficiency of employee communications and engagement Support crisis and M&A communications Executive platform development & executionElevate the voice of the Americas President’s on specific topics aligned with Equinix’s strategy and the outcomes, value, and innovation customers and partners can create through Platform Equinix Partner closely with the PR, AR, Social, and other regional communications leaders to drive external engagement opportunities across priority audiences and topics Oversee Americas President’s social media presence (LinkedIn). Develop SoMe strategy, build content and maintain calendar Achieve cross-functional alignment and executionWork collaboratively and cross functionally to ensure alignment, consistency and promote key priorities in the region Actively engage with larger Americas Communications team, HR, Marketing and Sales Work with our WeAreEquinix and Equinix Employee Connection Network (EECN) leaders to build strategies to promote our DIB and sustainability initiatives across the region Qualifications10+ years’ communications experience – crafting and implementing strategies and developing online content; ideally having worked with a Fortune 500 B2B technology companies Demonstrated excellence in strategic storytelling, writing/editing, project management, strategic planning and execution, executive coaching, event management, crisis management/communications, change management, and multimedia communications Strong planning and project management skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Digital acumen and knowledge of digital communications trends and standards/designs/best practices including user experience for web, email, mobile and social media Experience with metrics gathering and reporting to measure communication performance, to optimize going forward and to understand audience behaviors Crisis communications experience, as well as experience dealing with sensitive workforce and workplace issues Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related area preferred Strong understanding of key technology and communication tools, including PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Smartsheets, Slido and Poppulo, as well as a willingness and ability to quickly embrace new tools Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
