The Managed Services Team is responsible for Equinix Managed products and services. We are seeking candidates with a passion for bringing creative solutions to complex technical problems,. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate with peer support teams and partners to develop solutions, provide advanced technical support, work in a creative, fast-paced agile environment, and show a keen interest in collaborating with peer teams in the interest of customer satisfaction.Assignments and Responsibilities:Assist in the maintenance and configuration of network and server infrastructure.Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, security, and reliability issues.Work collaboratively with peer teams to implement solutions that meet business needs.Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and standard operating procedures.Attend team meetings and participate in project discussions.Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.Help other team members as needed.Provide day-to-day operational support of Windows Server Operating Systems.Provide day-to-day operational support of Microsoft Infrastructure Services (Active Directory, DNS and DHCP).Provide day-to-day operational support of Microsoft applications (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL).Provide day-to-day operational support of Citrix Storefronts for various Managed Services and internal customers.Analyze service KPIs to identify opportunities to improve the performance, reliability, or availability of a product or service through automation or other technical innovations.Participate in postmortem and root cause analysis.Participate in evaluation of new requirements, technical designs, the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices, and metrics as directed.Responsible for incident, problem, change and configuration management processes as they relate to all facets of Managed and internal customer server operating system components, including license management.Ensure operational stability by maintaining security patching of all Managed Services and internal customers on a regularly scheduled basis.Develop and execute implementation plans associated with onboarding new Managed Services customers.Manage and maintain internal server image libraries and associated tool sets.Develop tools (scripts/programs) for automating routine activities.Provide solution and system architecture support for new products and services.Create and maintain customer and internal technical documentation.Research industry trends, best practices and new technologies that will provide operational insights to internal teams.Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications):Strong interest in learning about system administration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.Experience using PowerShell, Python, or other automation or programming languages Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies is a plus.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Prior experience in an IT-related role or relevant coursework is a plus.Experience working in an agile environment.Experience deploying, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Server Operating Systems, including Microsoft infrastructure ecosystem services, such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.Experience deploying, configuring, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.Experience supporting virtual server environments using VMware’s ESXi hypervisor.Experience and understanding of designing robust, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on premise/cloud/hybrid.Experience deploying and maintaining cloud applications using AWS, Azure or Google Cloud is a benefit.Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2023-September 2024) Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on your school system) Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2023-September 2024) Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on
