The Senior Manager, xScale FP&A will report to the Director, xScale FP&A and be responsible for leading the team’s support for the data center Operations Team which runs the xScale sites globally. The Senior Manager, xScale FP&A will lead a small, global team that is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and providing key insights that support business decision making.The xScale business is a growing initiative for the Company, it is scaling quickly and of high strategic importance. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset, and the successful candidate will be required to work cross-functionally in the pursuit of streamlining activities and finding the most efficient processes to implement. There is a wide scope to get involved in how the team works on a daily basis, make a significant impact, and find opportunities for growth.About the Strategy Finance TeamStrategy Finance provides financial decision support to Equinix’s Data Center Services business, as well as supporting Equinix’s Transformation office, xScale business, Finance M&A and Finance Integration functions.ResponsibilitiesActs as the trusted advisor to cross-functional business leaders, in particular the Operations Team, anticipating their needs and makes recommendations based on knowledge of the business and analysis performedCoordinates with partners and teams in the Americas, Europe, and AsiaBudgeting and forecasting: Reviews templates, consolidated analysis, and presentations to enable the budget and forecast process and reviews and completes more complex forecasting including the strategic long-term modelReporting: Presents strategic planning reports for key stakeholders and executive management to help facilitate decision making and completes more complex reporting initiativesFinancial Analysis: Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and organizational problems and requires diligence in making evaluative judgments based on the analysis of informationControl/Compliance: Completes purchase order approvals, new headcount approvals, and oversees HC reconciliations QualificationsProven years of experience in finance or related field preferredBachelor’s degree in finance or accountingMaster's degree (MBA) and/or CPA/CFA certification preferredEffective communication skills with the ability to engage with senior business leadersAdvanced Excel skillsBusiness partnering experience preferredEnthusiastic with passion to learn, grow, and have an impactEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
