With a $7B revenue base, the DCS Business Insights and Performance team will concentrate on optimizing the business, focusing on (and sometimes finding) key areas of risk or opportunity. The Business Insights and Performance leader has three primary responsibilities: Lead a team of data, analytics and business performance professionals who work to instrument and are in service to the DCS business unit and Equinix overall.Ensure that our DCS data quality is measured well and improved constantly—across almost 30 countries, many systems and millions of lines of data. They will lead the group managing the most complex fixes and work with many teams to ensure that their data is clean, including tracing root causes of problems.Identify reporting required to measure, monitor and optimize business performance, working with data and analytics teams across the company to ensure appropriate reporting needs are met​.Create a team of Business Insight analysts who can take questions from the Product Line VPs in the DCS team and quickly dive into the data to see if problems exist, if some risk exists, or if the issue is under control. They need to understand how data works in Equinix’s systems, answering problems to a high level of dependability, even if data is not perfectly clean or clear. This team must understand where data exists, work with analytic teams across the company, analyze quickly and communicate well across the globe. Their focus will be on optimizing theEnsure that the Data Center Services unit is measuring business performance well. Working with the corporate data and reporting teams, this team will create new KPIs for the DCS group where necessary, create new graphs and dashboards, then pass them to the corporate team for automation after the key performance indicators and dashboards are proven useful and trustworthy. They will also create dashboards used within the DCS group and will track the progress of key DCS projects and programs.Can support frequently-changing priorities in the Data Center Services Business Unit.Reporting to the VP, Business Operations of Data Center Services, the Sr Director will need to concentrate their firepower on key move-the-needle initiatives. They will work towards scalable solutions while inventing rough estimates where necessary.
