We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job Summary:Manages the execution of multiple and/or high-complexity technical programs using predefined methodologies and tools.Within Equinix Global Operations Engineering, the Automation team is chartered withAnalyze, plan, and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projectsAssign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestonesHold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projectsDetermine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiativesWorking with Equinix Platform teams and CTO teams for integrations and standardization around API, tooling, etcThe Automation team within Equinix Global Operations Engineering is looking for a “Technical Program Manager” to help drive and scale cross-functional programs. We are looking for someone passionate about customer outcomes, building bridges, and who thrives on being the glue between all the moving parts.As a Technical Program Manager, you will provide executive leadership to the Product Engineering team and drive specific programs forward while supporting teams in meeting the strategic objectives. In addition, you will help to develop, drive and promote the team’s vision, objectives, and implementation plans for various technology, architecture, and strategic programs.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate program management leader to make a tangible impact on the technology roadmap. If you believe in the power of technology to change the world, and if you value creativity, work comfortably in a fast-paced environment, and are excited to learn new technologies, we would like to talk to you.This is a Senior Staff, individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.Responsibilities:Provide software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and internal communications to deliver outstanding program outcomesManage project schedules, identify possible issues, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholdersWork closely with Software Engineers, QA, Product Managers, and other engineering teams to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle (build, test, and release on time)Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environmentInterface with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope.Help drive product decisions to align with higher company initiativesProactively identify inefficiencies that are holding the team back, and drive better, more efficient workflowsQualifications:B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experienceProven years of software engineering, systems engineering, program/product management, or similar experienceExperience delivering tech programs or products from inception to deliveryExperience operating autonomously across multiple teams demonstrated critical thinking and thought leadershipEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
