Job SummaryThe operational sustainability team sits within the Global Operations Engineering team and is accountable for providing strategic leadership support to the field operations team in all energy related matters to align local operations to Equinix's sustainability agenda.The Ops Sustainability team is responsible for creating programs and activities that deliver on the company sustainability goals and are implemented consistently across all data center sites globally.Advising on best practices, industry trends and creating specialized content to increase awareness, the Energy Efficiency Engineer works cross-functionally with other teams to identify and implement sustainability projects and other initiatives that contribute to short term as well as long term company goals. The initiatives are aligned with the following areas: energy efficiency, local onsite renewable energy, water management, scope 1 emissions and circular economy and roll up into Equinix Corporate Sustainability Goals as published annually. This role will sit under a global team and will be expected to care for a global audience of stakeholders.
