They must demonstrate a depth of knowledge, experience and passion for digital transformation. The candidate must possess broad expertise in digital business with a background in network & cloud architectures, applications and data. They must possess the business acumen to identify business needs and opportunities, and the problem-solving skills to help achieve them through technological innovation.In Segment Marketing, this field development opportunity, fosters relationships by working closely with account teams, solution architects, customers, and industry analysts. You will provide leadership and vision, while being a contributing, inspiring member of the team of resources focused on achieving business outcomes. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with account executives and technical subject matter experts to define account strategy and deliver the right approach for our clients' digital transformation. You’ll be an expert on IT, including how enterprises leverage technology to achieve business goals.ResponsibilitiesIn order to be successful in this role, you must possess superior communication skills and experience, a technical and creative solutions background, writing & presentation skills and a strong knowledge of enterprise networks.You will need to be comfortable understanding client’s pain points and latest network, architectural, and application designs within sub-segments.  Candidate must possess a drive and a curiosity to automate and affect change within companies and industries by understanding latest network and technical trends including Digital, Edge, Cloud, IoT, mobile, and omni-channel development.Ability to coach sales through an Equinix Account Strategy Plan (ASP) and position how to help solve on Platform Equinix™Ability to actively coach sales on applying messaging and positioning to specific sales opportunitiesSupport quarterly earnings script development through identification, classification and delivery of key wins and vertical/industry trendsTeam with sales on customer presentations by defining messaging, solutions, key trends and insightsProvide continuous field feedback to content development team on what is working and not working in the field with customers, sales and analystsSupport sales on RFPs and key proposals by defining messaging, solutions, key trends and insightsUnderstand global trends that may affect the uptake of any key client solutionsAssist in analyzing, developing and documenting the Equinix value proposition for key participants to drive Equinix interconnection and ecosystem growth in key industries such as financial services, government, manufacturing and healthcareUnderstanding of infrastructure (network, storage, compute, virtualization) and information securityKnowledge of cloud platform architecture and design including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.Knowledge of software-defined networks, software-defined data center infrastructure and understanding of modern cloud capabilities (Private, Hybrid and Public)Strong interpersonal and presentation and writing skillsExcellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsSound business acumen and executive presenceProven track record of working with subject matter experts, consultants, professional services, IT, operations, and others over the technology lifecycle to maximize ROI and minimize TCOProven collaborative approach; openly sharing information and receptive to the ideas of othersExceptional team building skills with the ability to direct, motivate and empower teams through a persuasive and credible thought process and presentation skillsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent plus relevant experience preferredEnterprise IT expertise across network, applications, workloads, infrastructure, and datacenter7+ years of working experience in network, data center and virtualization related technologies.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills supporting c-level to individual contributor personasWorking knowledge of enterprise architecture in today’s digital worldExperience and knowledge of service providers including: Network Service Providers, Cloud Service Providers and Content & Digital Media Service ProvidersAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesCustomer focused with a proven track record of working with customers & building momentumStrong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and WordWorking knowledge of salesforce.comEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
