We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryWe are looking for a technically strong, energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate Engineer to take part in the software engineering team responsible for a Digital Integration Platform that drives $6B+ revenue and comprises 800+ services connecting all the business systems.ResponsibilitiesSpends approximately half the time with the core engineering teams advocating and contributing towards making our application services resilient and the remaining half the time with core site operations teamsServe as the primary subject matter expert for Equinix software products towards preventing (pro-active) as well as troubleshooting and mitigating (re-active) service availability/performance issues Develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor application services in a large-scale and complex environment Being able to multi-task and deliver in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving technology landscape and participate in an on-call escalation for incident resolutionsParticipating in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teamsParticipating in architecture discussions and planningAdvocate and Follow best design and development practices adhering to Engineering standardsParticipate in Design & Peer Code Review process QualificationsBachelor's in Engineering preferredRequirementsA high sense of ownership, passion for Platform Product developmentBachelor's/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Technology or other equivalent field experience5+ years of experience in developing highly distributed software platforms/systems2+ years of operational understanding of Virtualization, Containerization ecosystem including Docker & KubernetesExperience in API Development platforms like TIBCO and API Management platforms like Apigee, MuleSoft is preferableExperience in RESTful API development and GraphQLExperience optimizing a high traffic website for robustness and scale-out ArchitectureExperience in technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Oracle database & JMS is a plusExpertise in troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems and the tools necessary to do so, such as tcpdump, etcExperience in providing global support coverage is a plusExperience with AWS Cloud & Networking Concepts is a plusEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
