Key to success will also be to build, mend and/or harness existing and new relationships with vendors and cross-functional departments.Job Summary:The Engineering Support Manager for the Australian Operations team is the enabler for the Engineering team; ensuring our assets, contracts, vendor and risk management activities are developed, maintained and coordinated. They will become an integral part of the overall Operations team and our 18 IBX (Data Centers), collaborating and leading both internal and external stakeholders.Responsibilities:Leads supervisors and professional individual contributors. Guides through well-defined management precedents.Develops teams to work safely, optimally and with high regard to human error avoidance.Asset management including Maximo support.Job Plan assessment and support.Contracts and Procurement Support.Vendor Management, ensure Equinix specific Job Plans, KPI's and SLA's are achieved.Risk Management, including administrative support of ARC and provide input toward budget and priority setting.Provide Leadership and strategic advice, administrative and operational processes and guide execution.Supporting Engineering Drills, Compliance and Reporting requirements.Handle personnel details including salaries, positioning, performance reviews as well as coaching and development.Project / Infrastructure Site ManagementPlans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers.Provides input and mentorship towards budgets.Translates functional plans into operations excellence and guidance throughout execution.Vendor ManagementManages the Vendor relationship to ensure completion to Equinix's global, local and uniform standards.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent work experience in Critical Facilities environmentAbility to collaborate with and supervise a small, experienced and specialist team.Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in relevant fieldSalary package including company shares, annual bonus, healthcare allowance and access to a host of financial, legal and consultancy perks.Staff gym, onsite parking, close to transport linksProgression opportunities with the Facilities or wider teams within EquinixEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
