You will also be responsible for the daily upkeep and operation readiness of Equinix’s IDC environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide Technical Support services including: Data Centre operations, equipment maintenance and service provisioningSupport Disaster Recovery drills and invocationsInstall and de-install of customer cross-connectionsPerform Smart Hands and tape backup ServicesWarehouse managementReporting facility alarmIncident handling, problem troubleshooting and escalation to upper tierSupervise vendors for work within data centre premisesMaintain accurate records, document all problems, and prepare reportsExhibit quality workmanship on all workMaintain the cleanliness of data centreQualificationsDiploma or Certificate in Telecommunication or IT related areaCertifications in IT industry (CompTIA A+/CCNA/Juniper) an advantageHigh level computer skills including use of Microsoft Office suite of productsExcellent communications skills, both advanced written and verbal English skillsStrong Customer Service SkillsAbility to work effectively as part of a team is essentialHas a ‘can do’ attitude and approach to workAdaptable, flexibleBe able to follow processes efficiently and effectivelyStrong attention to detail and customer service focusAbility to learn fast and work autonomouslyAbility to juggle multiple priorities and be a self-starter attitudeMay be required to lift 25kg unassisted, climb ladders and work with various equipment including hand tools (side cutters, screw drivers, etc), pallet jack and pedestrian forklift24x7 shift duty and emergency scheduling of work is requiredReal passion for technologyWe accept grads and new to careerEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
