Our global platform allows customers to place infrastructure wherever they need it and connect it to everything they need to succeed.We are a fast-growing global company with 20 years of continuous growth. Through our innovative portfolio of high-performance products and services, we have created the largest, most active global ecosystem of 10,000+ companies, including 2,100 networks and 3,000+ cloud and IT service providers in 32 countries spanning six continents.  A career at Equinix means you will collaborate on work that impacts the world and be surrounded by endless opportunities to learn new skills and grow in varied directions. We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryThe purpose of this position is to be a member of the Global Income Tax Reporting & Compliance team, responsible for the U.S. Income tax compliance, income tax provision preparation, and significant assistance in audits, research, and planning.Prepare and Review the US federal and state income tax reportingPrepare and review of all US tax filings and payments, including quarterly estimates and extensionsManage the timely completion of income tax complianceKeep up-to-date on the US income tax law and the organizational impact of changesAssist with SOX complianceManage the US federal and state income tax auditsManage tax inquiries from various US federal and state tax jurisdictionsConduct various tax research projectsAssist with tax planning and strategies implementationPartner with internal technology teams to eliminate manual processes of income tax reporting and compliance, through the creation and development of end-to-end scalable processResponsibilitiesPreparation of the quarterly and year-end US federal and state tax provision under ASC 740Responsible for the timely preparation of the US and State Income Tax Return(s) and completing work papers with detailed support and organization to allow for audit readiness, including but not limited to the preparation of book-to-tax adjustments, state apportionment schedule and federal-to-state adjustmentsWork with Fixed Asset Manager to maintain accurate and reliable data, values and information related to tax basis, federal and state tax depreciationAssist with SOX complianceConduct or assist with the US federal and state tax audits and appealsHandle tax inquiries from various US federal and state tax authoritiesConduct research and prepare memos, primarily on US federal and state tax issuesAssist with tax planning and strategies implementationWork closely with other business partners to gather information and assist in requestsQualifications5+ years working experience with BIG 4 and/or corporate tax department with exposures to tax accounting and tax complianceBA in Accounting or FinanceCPA/Chartered Accountant/Equivalent certification preferredMaster of Taxation preferredGood experience in ASC 740Strong experience in federal and multi-state income tax complianceDemonstrated technical strength and knowledge related to tax accounting and income tax preparationSelf starter with strong accounting, analytical, creative problem-solving and project management skillsAbility to recognize, understand, and analyze complex issuesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organizationMust be well-organized, hands on and detail orientedAble to work independently and as part of a teamProficient computer skills including strong working knowledge of Excel (e.g. vLookup, pivot table, sorting, conditional formatting, etc.), PowerPoint,  ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, Hyperion)Excellent communication and writing skillsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
