This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.Calix is seeking a highly motivated, talented and technically strong Staff. DevOps Automation Engineer to add to our growing Cloud Team. This is a non-people manager role, but rather a functional-manager in our Cloud Team. This individual contributor will help to develop infrastructure automation framework to managing calix growing infrastructure. You must have both strong technical abilities, and proven problem-solving skills to solve tough technical challenges in a team of talented and motivated engineers. Calix is the technology leader in Access space. Come join us to become part of a team which is redefining the landscape for Access communication networks.Responsibilities and Duties:Work closely with the dev and devOps teams to understand architecture and automate the infrastructure.Participate design and development of new or improvement of existing infrastructure automation (“infrastructure as code”) using Terraform , Ansible, helm charts , Python , GoLang etc. Strive for continuous improvement and automation of infrastructure.Working with the developers to design and build CI/CD pipelines , build tools and services for self-service portals and automate process wherever its possible.Building tools and services for understanding infrastructure cost , Security , observability.Mentor and guide team members by defining best practice and review code.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.This role may be required to travel and attend face-to-face meetings and Calix sponsored events.Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.7 or more years overall Devops experience.4 or more years experience with UNIX/Linux operating system Hands-on & expert AWS experience (EKS,EC2, ELB, S3, lambda, IAM, SNS, SQS, RDS , KMS , etc…) , good Kubernetes knowladge Good experience with shell scripting and python/golang programming . Strong background in Infrastructure Automation , Instrastructure as code using Terraform , Ansible , Pulumi etc. Strong background in developing CI/CD pipelines.
