Director – Access EDGE Product MarketingThis is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.The Calix Intelligent Access EDGE Marketing team is searching for a Director – Access EDGE Product Marketing that is a passionate, innovative self-starter that has a track-record of success in delivering technology products and services in a high growth environment. The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to translate (1) customer needs into business and product requirements and (2) complex technical product language into a simple to understand marketing message. Must possess a proven track record of being a flexible problem solver, dynamic leader, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable working across multiple functions and geographies within a globally dispersed organization.At Calix, product marketers are the CMO of their products, with end-to-end accountability for both strategy and execution. This role represents a great opportunity to influence and shape the product messaging, positioning, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market strategies of a portfolio of disruptive access systems and optical network terminals/units (ONTs/ONUs) to BSPs around the globe. This position will report to the AVP IAE and Services Marketing.Responsibilities and Duties:You will closely collaborate with other product marketing teams and leadership to refine solution narratives for an end-to-end portfolio. This is a broad-scope role that entails filling in gaps, connecting the dots and providing a solid narrative in the marketplace.Develop and evangelize go-to-market strategies for your product line-up.Create and support outbound marketing activities focused on our Intelligent Access EDGE portfolio of products and solutions.Proven storyteller who can connect product benefits to desired outcomes for broadband service providers.Become the product advocate and spokesperson for the portfolio, inclusive of internal education, external industry presentations, and developing clear product narratives.Develop/refine product positioning that differentiates the Access EDGE portfolio of E-Series Systems within the industry.Enhance foundational messaging that easily conveys the product value proposition and selling attributes.Work with Product Management to coordinate and manage product roadmap releases - including target audience feature set, user experience, roadmap fit, and the marketing plan.Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.Lead sales enablement initiatives that communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products.Be the face and voice of your products within Calix and to the market.Champion the Calix brand and boost demand of our products at events and in digital marketing.Author original digital and social media content including blogs, web, collateral, solution briefs, white papers, social media articles and more.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or related field8-10 years relative marketing or product management experience with at least 4+ years’ marketing experience in a product marketing role (with a B2B focus, dealing with broadband service providers).Thorough understanding of marketing and launch processes for hardware and software.Knowledge of marketing and social media best practices and tactics include social outreach, campaign development, creative asset development, data collection and analysisProven ability to manage and retain strong relationships with colleagues, work with General Manager and C-level contacts within customers, and partners.Direct experience or familiarity with marketing to Broadband Service Provider personasDeep knowledge and experience around fixed line broadband solutions (Wi-Fi, FTTx, PON, OLT, ONT, BNG, EMS).Familiarity of OSI concepts and applications include physical fiber technologies and deployment techniques, layer 2 and 3 networking, service enabling applications such as DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, DiameterFamiliarity with network management concepts including underlying protocols such as SNMP, IPFIX, NetFlow etc.Knowledge of emerging technologies (SDN/NFV and Cloud technologies) is a plus.Experience in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment, with a demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into business and product requirements.Expert storyteller with strong and demonstrable oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and prioritize project workExceptional public speaking/presentation skills.Capable of building consensus and achievement of a shared vision, affecting change, thinking, and acting strategically and willing to take smart risks.Experience working in a geographically distributed team with ability to foster strong working relationship throughout the organization.Experience with a demonstrated track record of success in a fast paced, collaborative environment.Travel Requirement would be 25%.Location:Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.#LI-Remote Highlight Color Black
