Director, Solutions Test

This position is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers located around the world to define the test strategy, create project plans, provide resource capacity, and ensure the proper test coverage and timely execution of solutions testing for the various personas that utilize various applications and services in the Calix ecosystem and the associated workflows.Responsibilities and Duties:Develop strategy and test plans that include why certain tests need to be done and how that testing is to be done.The testing process shall have a conceptual approach of customer use cases; testing of the solutions like the customer will use them.  Emulate the customer environment.Develop project plans that include resources, schedule, and budget.  Project plans shall have a focus on efficiency and 24/7 utilization of resources.Test automation and development.  All projects shall have a primary focus on test automation, virtualization, and simulation.Report the appropriate metrics in real time to report bug analysis, test execution, test coverage.Continuous effort on reviewing and improving performance test process and efficiency.Communicating status to executive management.Analyzing issues found in the field and implementing appropriate corrective actions.Work closely with cross functional team members.Maintain open communication with field personnel.Manage performance of team and mentor team members for skill development and career growth.Disposition bugs such that the customer impact is described by severity and priority.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated.
