This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.Calix is leading a service provider transformation to deliver a differentiated subscriber experience around the Smart Home and Business, while monetizing their network using Role based Cloud Services, Telemetry, Analytics, Automation, and the deployment of Software Driven Adaptive networks.As part of a high performing global engineering team, the right candidate will play a critical role in expanding the Calix Cloud Suite of Products. Calix Cloud Products allow our customers in the Telecom domain to empower their customer service organizations with Insights and real time data to maximize the support operations efficiency and deliver the best customer experiences. They also allow them to run their network operations seamlessly and allow their marketers to efficiently target their future customers.Responsibilities and Duties:Serve as the strategic partner and technology leader to enhance and release Calix Cloud features.Lead discussions and drive deliverables across multiple engineering teams globally with an eye on the big pictureDesign, develop and maintain backend infrastructure, workflows, and services for enabling easy to use solutions for Customer Marketing organizations within service providers.Work closely with Cloud product owners to understand, analyze product requirements, provide feedback, and deliver a complete solution.Technical leadership of software design in meeting requirements of service stability, reliability, scalability, and securityParticipate and drive technical discussions within engineering group in all phases of the SDLC: review requirements, produce design documents, participate in peer reviews, produce test plans, support QA team, provide internal training and support TAC team. Drive change throughout the organization via automation and enabling end-to-end test-driven development.Triage and resolve customer escalations and field issues.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodations as required under applicable law.15 years of highly technical, hands-on software engineering experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on Cloud Analytics experienceDeep understanding big data analytics and frameworks such as Presto, Dremio to enable the same.5+ years of experience working in various analytics enablers like Tableau, Qlik or the equivalent.5+ years’ experience in delivering complex data pipelines for enabling big data analytics using PySpark, Kafka, Spark Streaming or Kafka Streams.Experience leading engineering team with strong technical direction and delivering high quality software on schedule, including delivery for large, cross-functional initiatives.3+ years leading geographically distributed teams to successful delivery of quality solutions.BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or relevant industry standard experience to match.Strong, creative problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and share details to create meaningful articulation.Experience designing partner integrations using API or pub/sub frameworks for event driven solutions.Experience with implementing solutions using proper RBACs and knowledge of various authentication frameworks. Awareness of data governance, privacy and security guidelines and processes and implementing the related best practices in ecosystem integrations.Proficient in using Cloud platform / services from AWS (or Azure.Hands on experience in one or more of the following programming languages - Java, Java, Python or Nodejs.Experience implementing solutions that adhere to best practices and guidelines for different privacy and compliance practices around data (GDPR, CCPA).Location:Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.#LI-Remote
