Software Engineer

All this happens for all customers on the same shared infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure.We are looking for a Software Engineer to support our compute platform team based in Karlsruhe, Germany.   Your Tasks  Development of distributed systems with Python using tools and technologies such as FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL Leverage Microsoft Azure cloud service to build a scalable automation platform for our internal users Working in an agile team with an emphasis on quality, testability, and automation  Your Profile Experience with Linux container infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Apache Mesos, Docker) and cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCPPassion for DevOps and software development with agile methods such as Kanban, TDD, and pair programmingKnowledge of one object-oriented programming language, ideally Python The strong will to learn new things and constantly improve your skills Curiosity and perseverance to get to the bottom of problems The candor to always share your ideas and concerns, so that we can find the best solutions Good knowledge of the German and English language, both written and spoken What we offerAn opportunity to have a positive real-world impact for and through the products running on our platform (e.g., reduced CO2 emissions). Working in a great team with many opportunities to grow as a young engineer. We enjoy writing clean code and are proud of our community involvement and Open Source contributions.  We are willing to go the extra mile to automate our infrastructure and eliminate mundane, repetitive tasks.  Are you thrilled about the opportunity, but afraid to apply because you don’t check all boxes?
