Job SummaryThe Solution Architects role is responsible for providing product, industry, and/or business expertise to architect business solutions to prospects and customers across multiple and/or large, complex BY projects and to build the associated customer relationships.This role will predominantly be working with BY’s AI / ML suite of products.The Solution Architect will apply experience, application expertise and industry best practice to define, shape and deliver the BY solution that will assist customers to maximise their operation and achieve ROI. This role works cooperatively with the sales/pre-sales team in order to provide input to RFP/RFI responses, business cases, case studies and presentations. It also involves supporting the Director of Consulting solutions by providing services representation during sales engagements as well as inputting into and reviewing and endorsing services estimates.Further, the Solution Architect will represent the services team in interactions with Standard Product development and product strategy regarding new functionality, regional requirements and product direction.Key Tasks:· Prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences · Provide advice to customers regarding industry best practices, process methodology and data governance· Assist Project Manager(s) in planning efforts · Ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints · Apply strong domain knowledge to understand how the BY solutions within area of focus can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes · Demonstrate and facilitate integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture (i.e. end-to-end data and process flows)· Conduct/lead business process analysis, design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of the project · Lead the project team to design and develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens to ensure smooth integration between technical and functional business requirements · Create and modify procedural and system documentation throughout the project · Support the development and execution of test scripts to ensure BY software consistently meets the customer's business objectives · Provide business support during go-live period and verify that the system provides the required business functions and produces the required business value· Recognise and highlight incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers/projects · Serve as a functional liaison between Project Manager, Solution Architects, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors · Communicate business cases to Product Management regarding customer specific needs related to product functionality and enhancements KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:You have several years of experience in digitization projects, ideally in retail and/or supply chain.· You can leverage strong domain knowledge and consulting skills to maximise customer business value via BY solutionsYou have basic experience in data analysis and statistics and feel comfortable sharing your knowledge. Ideally, you have knowledge of programming languages for rapid analysis and visualization of data (e.g. Python) as well as SQL skills.You are comfortable communicating actively on all hierarchy levels including executive levelYou are able to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken) and are ready to travel in the EMEA region.
