Key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:Develops and maintains the overall data architecture strategy for the organization.Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and requirements.Identifies and prioritizes opportunities to improve data quality, availability, and usability.Develops and manages the data governance policies and procedures.Ensures that the data architecture aligns with the organization's overall business strategy and IT infrastructure.Develops and maintains the data models and data flows for the organization.Establishes and maintains data standards, including data definitions, naming conventions, and data classification.Collaborates with other IT teams to ensure that data is integrated seamlessly across different systems and platforms.Develops and manages the metadata repository for the organization.Develops and maintains the data security and privacy policies and procedures.Contributes to the management of the data architecture budget and resources.Monitors and evaluates the performance of the data architecture and makes adjustments as necessary.Develops and maintains the disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the organization's data.Mentors [and leads as necessary] the team of data architects and data engineers.Stays up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data architecture and applies them to the organization's data strategy.What we are looking for:At least 8-12 years of experience in a related field, such as data architecture, data engineering, or database administration.Strong understanding of data architecture principles and practices.Expertise in designing and implementing complex data solutions across multiple systems and platforms.In-depth knowledge of data modeling techniques, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL data modeling.Strong experience with data integration, data warehousing, and data management technologies and tools.Experience with data governance, including data quality, data security, and data privacy.Knowledge of data analytics and visualization technologies and techniques.Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and tools.Experience with cloud-based data solutions and technologies.Knowledge of big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.Experience with metadata management tools and techniques.Experience with data architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF or Zachman Framework.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers.Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Continuous learning mindset and ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture.Our ValuesIf you want to know the heart of a company, take a look at their values.
