We are looking for a Director of Strategy to lead our Strategy workstream within the Revenue Operations & Strategy organization to identify, design, and execute growth strategy drawing on business travel / hospitality trends and the competitive landscape.  Working closely with senior executives and operators, this role will set the strategy for our business by shaping strategic growth opportunities that deliver incremental revenue and profit needed to achieve business targets.   We focus on a broad range of topics developing Build/Buy/Partner analyses, influencing product roadmaps, envisioning the future, and implementing our backlog of strategic bets that will shape not only our businesses, but also the entire travel technology industry. This role will report directly to the VP of Revenue Operations and Strategy and have high visibility in the organization with frequent interaction with the C-suite and senior executive team members.   Key areas that this role will lead:     Lead team to build cohesive strategic plans to accomplish business objectives, identify specific areas of opportunity through quantitative and qualitative analysis, and formulate goals and milestones that will enable us to achieve those objectives   Manage the day-to-day project and team activities to meet project goals and timelines   Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues. Build out unique, creative and impactful solutions by integrating insights across Hotel Engine’s teams and supporting collaborative solution development.   Be a strategic advisor for senior leadership across the organization on build/buy/partner opportunities   Develop rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations   Drive cross-functional initiatives, leading by influence and without direct authority   Actively provide an “outside-in” perspective and recommend strategic priorities based on competitive and consumer intelligence   Build strong relationships with cross-functional and regional management teams. Act as trusted partner and advisor to senior stakeholders during and beyond strategic project engagement   Here's what we’re looking for:     Required:   Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant work experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting   3+ years of experience leading teams in complex environments   Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree (Finance, Business, Economics preferred)   Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint   Strong analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting and key operational metrics   Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems   Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels   Prior experience in a corporate development role at a technology (software) company, including but not limited to working on market expansion, M&A, strategic partnerships   Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels   Experience working with economic theories, strategic and prioritization frameworks, scenarios analysis, and competitive assessments.   Experience working with economic theories, strategic and prioritization frameworks, scenarios analysis, and competitive assessments.   Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with functional leaders   Commitment to continuous training and improvement of employees throughout the corporate strategy function   Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities   This role is eligible for remote work within the U.S. Cash Compensation: The base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $190,000/year.
