As the Sr. Manager of Employee Communications and Experience, you will be a passionate champion of our mission, Compass Values, culture and ensure our change communication strategies are meaningful and support employees.
Responsibilities
Lead large-scale change and crisis communications planning and deployment in partnership with various functions including, but not limited to Finance, Legal, People, Safety/Security, Sustainability, IT Facilities and Operations
Develop, socialize and align plans with functional leadership and other stakeholders
Manage the change strategy (discovery to inform program design, partner with training teams, enablement and pre-flight), creative development and operational maintenance of communication channels and programming to support company initiatives and employees
Draft content for senior executives for town halls, videos, new program announcements and operational updates to strategically drive engagement and visibility while sharing company goals, objectives, activities and critical initiatives
Support company events across the companywide corporate calendar, e.g., earnings, senior leader meetings, regional and company town halls.
Partner closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, Brand, Policy and Community teams to ensure integration and readiness with external communications
Implement tracking and reporting to measure progress against organizational objectives
Requirements:
10+ years in change management, employee/internal or executive communications
Skills to distill complex information into resonant, easy-to-understand content
Excellent writing and editing skills: you are known for crossing T’s and dotting I’s
Ability to consider the bigger picture and possess the willingness to get into the specifics when needed
Can overcome nerves to navigate crisis and challenging situations
Ability to work with colleagues across organizational and cultural boundaries to ensure successful execution.
Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to develop and manage measurement metrics.
Proficiency with PowerPoint, MS Word essential; experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and web publishing preferred
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality is a must
Position Details
This position is primarily remote and requires occasional travel.
This role is within the Employee Communications & Experience team
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $168,000 - $193,000/yr (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
