We are now looking for a Senior Optical Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer.NVIDIA’s Optical Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer are responsible for developing methodologies, analyzing, debug, and crafting NVIDIA’s GPUs and SoCs into state-of-the-art desktop, notebook, professional, and mobile solutions.What you'll be doing:Develop validation test methods for new designs from Mixed-Signal Design groupInteract with multi-functional groups to support chip validation and ramp to productionValidate, debug, characterize new analog, photonic, electrical-optical, and mixed-signal designsProvide feedback to designers on silicon performance, design quality, and marginsVerify electrical-optical compliance to industry standardsSupport chips bring-up of analog, photonic, electrical-optical, and mixed-signal macrosSimulate analog and mixed-signal designs which require debugMeasure and analyze signal integrity of high-speed serial links, PLLs, power delivery networksAble to train new engineers in validation practicesWhat we need to see:B.S. or equivalent experience (8+ years of experience), M.S. (6+ years of experience), Ph.D. (4+ years of experience) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or similar area.Good understanding of semiconductor device physicsIn-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of photonics devicesFamiliarity with optical and electrical instruments (SMU, Tunable Lasers, PWM, VNA, ESA, Linewidth) and calibration procedures.Proficiency in programming skills for test automation and statistical analysis (e.g., instrument drivers, test methodology, post-processing of data collection)Proficiency in programming such as MATLAB, Python, C++ Deep understating on key optical devices such high-speed modulators and photodetectors.Hands on experience with characterizing and testing of optical devices using optical bench set ups.Proven knowledge of measurements, concepts and equipment for high-speed systems using BERIT, Real/sampling oscilloscopes, optical/electrical signal analyzers and Light Component Analyzers.NVIDIA is widely considered to be the leader of AI computing, and one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
