NVIDIA's Quantum Computing team is searching for outstanding compiler and DevOps engineers to build the toolchain of the future. We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated engineer with expertise in MLIR/LLVM, who knows system programming fundamentals, and has the capacity to turn ideas into a well designed, robust software framework. You will be working closely with hardware, software and research teams across NVIDIA to create, optimize and distribute core components of our platform for programming ground breaking hybrid quantum-classical multi-processor systems. If you love the craft of software engineering and are an innovator who relishes the chance to impact the future of the industry, this role may be perfect for you. What You'll Be Doing:Solving difficult problems at the intersection of compilers, programming models, HPC and quantum computingContributing to the development of the CUDA Quantum platform and its novel programming paradigms for hybrid quantum-classical computingDiscussing and refining software designs and implementation strategies with peersImproving processes and infrastructure to accelerate our developmentPartnering with architects, product managers, and application teams to enable leading quantum computing science and technologyWhat We Need To See:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Physics or related engineering field or equivalent experience (Ph.D. or Masters preferred)6+ years experience working on large-scale software projects, and a proven track record of building performant and robust production softwareSolid understanding of open-source ecosystems, compiler toolchains and programming fundamentalsDemonstrated ability to quickly develop expertise in new domains and products, and eagerness to master new challengesStrong communication and collaboration skillsWays To Stand Out From The Crowd:Expertise in parallel computer architectures and distributed systemsExperience building compilers for GPUs and/or FPGAsExtensive knowledge about CI, testing and deployment infrastructures, and a passion for improving sophisticated engineering systemsA background in quantum computing or quantum physicsDeep understanding of programming languages and knowledge about formal verification methodsThe base salary range is $176,000 - $333,500.
