Our responsibilities include all aspects of eBay’s business in the UK.Authenticators - Sneakers and HandbagseBay are hiring Authenticators for our team based in the London area. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping up to date with the Footwear and luxury industry trends, footwear/handbag releases, and collaborations with all retailers, from sneakers to high fashion. You make sure the item is authenticated as well as spot manufacturer defects, assess wear, and inspect sku and size ensuring that each buyer receives the best experience possible. The right candidates will have experience detecting defects and a passion to deliver the right product to buyersResponsibilities:Perform an inspection to confirm the item’s description and condition are consistentReport counterfeit items with succinct and specific findingsStay well-versed on current brand trends & developmentsBe comfortable in a fast-paced facility environmentAchieve quality metrics and productivity goals dailyProactively communicate with managers about daily activities and obstaclesWillingness to work in a warehouse environment RequirementsExperience in a related field requiredYou are a fashion expert and have a strong sense of the category, passion for Sneakers and handbagsAnalytical and problem-solving skills ability to research and address concernsStrong attention to detail and accuracyFlexibility to evolving work-flows and responsibilitiesExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to work autonomouslyCapacity to work on your feet for several hours & lift 50 pounds as needed.Knowledge of standard operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, Slack, etc.Must be over the age of 18 years oldBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
