We are responsible for driving organic traffic that represents billions of dollars worth of goods and services bought on eBay across the globe every day.We are looking for an Operational data analytics lead with people management skills to lead our team which is responsible for data analysis and its validation in our critical landing page platform, category & vertical initiatives. ResponsibilitiesManage a high functioning team of talented data analystsOversee complex data analyses that serve to ensure overall platform healthFacilitate new processes and scaling methods based on a deep understanding of our platform, taxonomy and metadata structures.Define a set of metrics that track and measure data quality of operational deliverables, setting data quality goalsWork with product leads to balance trade-offs in the operations roadmap between business needs, strategic and tactical itemsAnticipate, assess and manage issues and risks independently; perform as needed root cause analysis and recommend mitigation plansBuild, document, and improve processes across geographically distributed teams/partners in order to optimize efficiency in a fast-pace environment Requirements5+ years of working experience managing teams and working with partners within a highly matrixed organization e.g. Data Analysis/Program/Product/EngineeringHands-on experience in analysis of large data sets​​Programing experience in PythonExperience using Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib etc.).Excellent knowledge in SQL (advanced queries, creating DBs, etc.)Ability to understand highly technical issues and complex operational processes to drive issues to resolutionExperience working in an end to end, cross functional environment with operations, engineering, product and project management counterparts Ability to create detailed project plans and track progress against plans, reporting on the status to stakeholdersBeing clear and concise in both verbal and written communications (e.g., functional/technical specifications, status reports, etc.)BA/BSc or higher in STEM, or equivalent experience​#LI-MD2eBay Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, and disability, or other legally protected status.  If you are unable to submit an application because of incompatible assistive technology or a disability, please contact us at talent@ebay.com.  We will make every effort to respond to your request for disability assistance as soon as possible.
