You’ll be comfortable working across a variety of stacks, learning new technologies and solving problems through rapid exploration and experimentation.In this position, you’ll have a significant impact on the customer experience by assuming an important role in the eBay design process. You’ll advocate for Design Technology, working closely with Design, Engineering and Business partners to ensure our product consistently exceeds an ever-higher bar of quality and innovation. We’re looking for someone, that’s self-directed and passionate about creating immersive and inspiring experiences (with the knowledge to make it happen).Responsibilities:Support eBay Design’s mission to reimagine the Company’s future through delivery of world-class customer experiencesTake an active role in building the Design Technology team at eBay and establishing UX prototyping as a core capabilityCollaborate with designers and product leads to translate ideas and concepts into sophisticated and interactive prototypes (written in the product stack)Actively participate in concept development and design iteration, writing code to explore and test new features and productsDevelop custom tools and automations to help expedite design and business objectivesServe as a link between design and development, ensuring that design vision is maintained through thoughtfully written, production-minded codeRequirements:BS Degree and 8+ years of experience working as front-end developer, design technologist or similar rolePortfolio of work demonstrating high quality code and design, including a variety of projects from web to nativeExperience building for the modern web using Javascript (ES6), Javascript frameworks, tools and workflowsExperience prototyping native apps, using either React Native or iOS (Objective-C or Swift)Experience with Design Tools like Figma, Creative CloudWorking knowledge of Git/Github and common Git workflowsPreferred Requirements:Experience building Figma plugins and the Figma API is a plusExperience with 3D, using tools like Three.js, WebGL, Unity, etc. is a plusBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
