Our Core Product teams work at the intersection of product, user experience and technology to create next-generation, high-impact customer experiences. This individual will have a deep understanding of the changing world of commerce and technology in all its dimensions and be the expert on industry trends, competitive practices and market opportunities. In addition, this critical role will work closely with leaders and key partners to develop essential messaging across the organization. The ideal candidate will operate at a high level of intellectual curiosity, exhibit superior analytical skills and bring a proven ability to work with cross functional teams. They will have the maturity, confidence, intellectual strengths, and real world experience to influence and inspire a team of hard-working and driven leaders and professionals. This candidate must have a passion for understanding and serving the unique community of eBay users.Job requirementsProven inspiring leader with expertise in technology, ideally in e-commerce, retail and/or consumer facing products is highly desirable.A proactive and creative attitude and approach. Someone who is proven to have “out of the box” thinking that drives innovation. The ability to “see around corners” and “connect the dots.Maintain an understanding of select competitors, their organizations constructs, financial results and strategic intentHelp to define and position ebay’s brand and competitive advantage in the marketplace.(Experienced at planning and preparing materials and decks needed for meetings with executive leadership teams, board meetings, customers or clients.Translates (develop & write) Core Product vision, priorities, and plan into compelling, essential messaging for executives, board decks, executive emails and C-level presentations.)Demonstrated strategic thinking with a proven ability to analyze markets, performance data, and business issues and draw insight / conclusions.Experienced in establishing messaging frameworks that tie the multiple areas of the organization together in a cohesive way; ability to synthesize information and data that ‘tells a story’.Skilled in strategy development, including project scoping, hypotheses development, financial and business modeling, strategic options' identification, consensus building, and implementation.Ownership and management of upcoming “events”—including articles, speeches, panel discussions, all-hands meetings, office visits, off-sites etc.Coordinate with eBay PR, Comms and Social teams for upcoming communications, media, posts and external activities.Function as a team player, discrete, high-energy, agile-minded, strategic, proactive, a direct communicator, highly organized and committed to the vision and values of eBay.Demonstrate strong operational rigor and the ability to lead large scale initiatives across a global organization with experience in driving cross-functional initiatives at the highest levels of a complex organization and ecosystem businessQualificationsBS/BA degree; MBA preferred with at least 3-5 years of PM experience and 3-5 years in a consulting company.Accomplished leader, with a diverse set of experiences in operations, consulting, strategy, analytics and finance.Strong intellectual curiosity, with a blend of analytical intelligence and strategic vision.Ability to synthesize complex data & analysis into recommendations for business strategy & tactics.Collaborative approach with the ability to build strong and deep relationships both within the team and across the organization to drive results.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and experience addressing and influencing C level and senior managementStrong results orientation with a dedicated partner focus, proven attention to detail and quality.Collaborative team player who is also an independent thinker.Ability to develop a point of view and bring others along, while remaining open mindedStrong executive presence- ease with executive-level interactionsCapable of handling multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
