Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Be a trusted and relevant partner across cross functional groups such as Finance, Accounting Policy, Tax, Legal, Shared Services, Systems and local Accounting and Business teams.Coordinate with cross functional teams and manage the system close process in line with the Company’s close timelines for each reporting period.Perform analytical review of consolidated balance sheet, including commentary on material changes for review with management.Analyze and prepare schedules for various financial statement information including Consolidated Statement of Cash Flows.Conduct ongoing reviews of accounting processes, internal controls, and overall effectiveness to drive process improvements through automation, streamlining and best practices.Basic Qualifications:You are a self-starter with a proven work ethic and also possess the following:5-7 years’ experience in Accounting. Experience in public accounting or large growth company and a CPA is a plus.University degree in Accounting or Finance.Solid understanding of US GAAP, local accounting and regulatory requirements, SOX and standard accounting processes and controls.Effective communication skills - including the capability to listen to the needs of others, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.Proven analytical and problem solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve operational accounting process and system issues.Customer focus and the ability to effectively collaborate and influence in a cross-functional and/or matrix environment; including working with all levels and in multiple locations.Comfort with initiating and responding to change; demonstrated ability to leverage systems to improve accounting processes and controls.Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment.Solid experience with ERP systemsFocus on eBay’s cultural valuesEducation: Bachelors Degree or EquivalentBenefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
