You will help craft and drive strategy development across the Payments, Risk and Protections organization, in support of business needs and priorities of eBay’s markets and regions. You will form hypotheses, structuring and conducting/overseeing analysis and articulating strategic options and plans for the Payments business. You will work with a wide variety of business leaders, product teams, solutions managers and other key partners across the organization to help translate their business needs into creative strategies to solve for these business needs. You will also drive industry and market research to identify unmet payments and risk needs and trends and support proactive formulation of strategies in response to these developments.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic planningSupport the development of the Payment organization’s 3-year plan in terms of payment market approaches, products, experiences, and capabilitiesEnsure that strategy execution is consistent with original intent and manage change controlsAggregate organization needs, requests, and plans to feed yearly financial and capacity planning and resource strategiesSpecial projects: Lead payments projects that require long-term viewpoints, cross-functional coordination, specific market expertise, or are on critical pathBe point person for solving complex strategic and analytic challenges that face Payments and build frameworks and models to support grounded recommendations.Manage and conduct analysis of partner capabilities, joint offering, pricing, and terms, both in response to specific business needs and proactively find opportunities for future optimizationMarket intelligence: Identify payments and risk needs and trends that span the market and integrate these needs into strategy formulationProvide broad expertise in payments economics, offerings, and propositions across markets for solution teams, product teams and other partnersKey SkillsProblem solving: work with senior executives to identify, scope, and structure key strategy initiativesAnalytical thinking: exceptional quantitative analytical & data management skillsRelationship building: partner with cross-functional teams and become a go-to thought partner for key decision makersResults orientation: biased toward action, great collaborator - constantly pushing toward clarity and deliveryTeam player: thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing uncertaintyEntrepreneurialism: investigating and getting information required to get the job done will make you much more effective in this role80/20 balance: couple attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them wellSenior-level communications: exceptional communication and organization skillsPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 8 years of related work experience – investment banking / consulting / business intelligence / strategy or related experiencePortion of the above experience applied within e-commerce, payments or risk industryBS/BA and Master Degree preferred from top tier academic institutions#LI-MH1However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
