(eCI) is seeking a Sanctions Compliance Specialist. The Sanctions compliance team performs a critical role in ensuring eBay’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations, those promulgated by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), contributing to a culture of compliance to ensure efficient and effective management of eCI’s sanctions risk.The Sanctions Compliance Specialist will provide support to the Sanctions Compliance Counsel, senior Anti-Money Laundering (AML) leadership, and business units on OFAC and other sanctions matters, as directed, which may include:Conduct enhanced investigations into sanctions compliance matters using internal, vendor-provided, and publicly-available information sources and research tools to prepare concise recommendations;Provide support for designing and implementing risk-based automated sanctions controls, consistent with eBay’s sanctions policy and all applicable global sanctions regulations;Identify, interdict, escalate, and maintain records pertaining to any activity prohibited by OFAC's regulations;Provide compliance input and guidance on operational requests;Provide support to the Sanctions Compliance Counsel, AML Officer, FIU Director, senior AML leadership and business units on OFAC and other sanctions matters;Navigate through complex data, including internal and external research, in order to provide critical information in a well-documented research file;Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence;Support any special projects or critical casework;Assist with governance, operational, and administrative matters.Candidates must have:4+ years sanctions or AML compliance work experience;Experience with relevant regulatory data sources, regulatory compliance;Attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic and pressurized environment while staying highly organized;Commercial outlook with a can-do attitude and be a standout colleague with excellent interpersonal skills;Ability to work on confidential and sensitive matters with a high degree of professionalism and discretion;Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint;Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ideal candidates will have a background in compliance (most ideally: sanctions compliance), proficiency in another language, a deep understanding of online/e-commerce, and a real passion for eBay.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
