If you enjoy analyzing, breaking down and coming-up with solutions that will harden the security posture of our environment; and you are skilled at discovering security issues that appear under new threat scenarios, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity.Job Responsibilities:Design and implement reusable software and tools for client and back-end systemsParticipate in operational review of technical systems across the companyEvaluate partner and third-party systems for adequate design and protectionsBe able to simply convey sophisticated data security concepts to partners, other specialists, and company leaders, while evangelizing accurate usageHelp application developers accurately use database encryption techniques and technologyWork with peers and leaders around the company to set, and then implement the vision for security applications.Qualifications:5+ years’ experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).Experience in Data Security, Application Security and SPLC, SAST/DASTExcellent understanding of Operating Systems security concepts and kernel components.Knowledge and experience in cloud computing and how services operateStrong Software Development skills and ability to code in one or more of: Java, Python, Kotlin/Swift, GoBecome a motivated product and industry influence by maintaining deep technical and business knowledge of various market segments and of best-of-breed security strategiesWorking across eBay with fellow Architects, Senior Staff, Principal Engineers, product management, and other partners to define the technical roadmap for the product(s) in response to customer requirements and market forces.Familiar with of secure architecture design and principles.Prefer Security experience in Linux internals and kernel, security knowledge of modern kernels (i.e., Linux, BSD, Solaris, AIX, or HP/UX) in kernel/C development, debugging, problem and performance analysis, any security certifications.Benefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
