This role will report to the Director of Consumer Insights and could be based out of New York/San Jose/ San Francisco/Bellevue/Austin/Toronto.Core Responsibilities: Drive a consumer-obsessed culture and be THE voice of the consumer in all forums, ensuring the voice of the consumer is at the forefront of brand-building efforts.Serve as the eBay brand insights leader and subject matter expert, crafting and demonstrating brand insights and recommendations across the Marketing funnel.Lead brand health tracking across markets; workshop findings and strategic recommendations with Marketing teams to continue building the eBay equity.Be a strategic thought partner to Global and Local Marketing and GCI counterparts to inspire new programs and activate recommendations from existing programsLead brand-level strategic insights work to identify messaging and innovation opportunities, including campaign development insights and evaluation for horizontal equity campaignsAdvise mid-lower funnel marketing communication via qualitative and quantitative research to boost revenue.Develop turnkey insight approach/framework to gather consumer insight and feedback on lower funnel marketing communication.Lead strategic syntheses, connecting disparate data sources for holistic storytelling.Build positive relationships and influence throughout the Growth organization.Required Experience:7-10 years of related work experience in a Consumer Insights role, with a passion for brand-building and strategy.Strong background in leading global research programs, value proposition development, business optimization and advertising insight work.Prior experience managing global brand trackers is required.Excellent communicator, and experience presenting to Senior level business partners.Proven track record to distill actionable insights from complex data and explain findings to business leaders in a digestible and compelling manner.Empathetic – ability to build strong intuition based on deep consumer understanding, as well as bring others along with you.Experience in “connecting the dots” from disparate data sources to bring together clear, insightful syntheses.Curiosity-driven to uncover the ‘why’ to discover non-obvious insights for growth.Collaborative mindset that allows you to work across a global organization to build a plan, gain alignment, and execute it.Excellent analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Expertise in working efficiently and effectively in a highly matrixed Global organization.Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Psychology, Economics, or related field. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
