Audit Department is accountable to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, and our global and local regulators.Position DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Internal Auditor with a strong operational audit background to join the global Internal Audit team in Austin or Atlanta. The role focuses predominantly on completing Financial and Operational audits across eBay Inc. This individual will be responsible for performing audits in line with the annual risk based Internal Audit Plan reporting directly to a Senior Manager within Internal Audit. This role will help execute a risk-based audit approach, gain a deep understanding of key business processes, translate risks into concrete business issues, and partner with the Internal Audit Senior Manager and management to prioritize practical findings and recommendations. The individual will help build partnerships with key customers across the business including Finance, Legal, Engineering, Product, IT, and Information Security across a large complex global organization.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting.6+ years of experience in Big 4 or internal audit.CPA, CIA, CISA or other professional certifications a plus.Significant knowledge of business processes and ability to identify control deficiencies, process gaps and business issues.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvement opportunities and potential solutions to operational issues.Experience using data analytics to identify control gaps and drive better business insights in a data driven organization a plus.Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).Solid project management skills with the ability to deliver projects in a timely manner.Solid attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to travel as needed.Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in and lead audit engagements from planning to reporting and deliver quality products within department and professional standards.Build operational audit programs to independently evaluate the operational efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls within critical processes.Find improvement opportunities to mitigate critical business risks and improve eBay's customer experience.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.Finalize and communicate audit findings in a clear and concise manner to Audit Leadership and key customers.Complete audit assignments timely, including draft audit issues for review by audit management, facilitate issue tracking, and validate closure of issues to ensure management accountability.Stay up to date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting eBay.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
