The successful candidate will be responsible for working with other teams across the company to help designing GraphQL Federation subgraphs, establish and document best practices, automate subgraph enrollment workflows, lead and participate in Spring Boot microservice implementation.Roles/Responsibilities:Design and implement a robust GraphQL subgraph network using a mix of Apollo Federation 1 and 2 subgraphsCollaborate with other architects, developers, and product managers to define API specifications and requirementsDevelop and maintain GraphQL schema definitions, resolvers, and directivesEstablish best practices around GraphQL usage across the companyFind solutions that allow for a fast delivery with incremental progress on quality using Agile design principlesDesign solutions to automate and scale GraphQL Federation adoption for hundreds of servicesTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to subgraph orchestration, field resolution and complicated query plansJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field10+ years of experience in software architecture and design, including 2+ years of experience in building REST APIStrong understanding of microservices architecture and API design principlesExperience with GraphQL and one or more of the following: GraphQL Federation, StitchQL, GraphQL MeshStrong knowledge of one or more of the following; GraphQL Java, Netflix DGS, Apollo Federation, SPQRProven track record of delivering scalable APIs, with expertise in software design principles, practical experience in applying the principles to incrementally refactor legacy codebasesExpert in Apollo Federation v2/Expert in one or more of the following: C++, Java, Kotlin#LI-AC1#LI-HybridBenefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
