This position will perform operational threat hunting and research as well as reporting around critical vulnerabilities that would be a threat to our infrastructure, technology platforms and endpoints.Working within eBay’s TMR organization you will have the opportunity to build innovative solutions to identify and mitigate information-security threats. With your contributions, we’re building the best security operations center in the industry. Your skills, vision, tenacity, and passion will help us defend and respond daily to keep eBay’s critical information assets away from threats and hackers.Core Job Functions Include:Comfortability with coding, in order to fix security vulnerabilities in code, dependencies, containers, and infrastructure as code.Providing analysis and trending of security threats and critical vulnerabilities from various threat intelligence sources, scanner data, attack surface monitoring tools and code security tools.Continuously keeping up to date with current vulnerabilities and assess them for impact to eBay systems and platforms while helping to implement remediation or mitigation strategies.Acting as authority around Vulnerabilities and exploitation, with a keen understanding of defensive controls and their capability to mitigate.Working large data sets from multiple systems and tools.Producing high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for Senior Level Management and Enterprise Technology Leaders, distributing operational-level reports to drive remediation activities when vital.Briefings and presentations to leadership supporting Information Security and Network Operations decision making.Providing situational awareness to executives and partners of emerging threats and breaches with appropriate mentorship on impact to eBay, Inc.Advocating for fast remediation of new vulnerabilities and influence eBay programs to consistently shift left.Requirements:7+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Hunting and/or Vulnerability Management Operations.Appropriate technical certifications in vulnerability management technologies to support domain expertise.Experience in an IT or security DevOps role working with developers to remediate vulnerabilities before code deployment.Familiarity with common Vulnerability Management tools used in VM and container computer environments (i.e., Tenable, Qualys, Prisma Cloud, Anchor, Wiz, etc.).Experience with application security tools including BurpSuite and Snyk.Experience with programming languages, coding and code review automation – Java, PowerShell, Python, etc.Experience with deploying and patching around configuration as code systems, services, containers and applications.Solid understanding of common vulnerability frameworks (e.g., CVSS, OWASP Top 10).Benefits:Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
