The role is a mix of business expert, finance analyst and risk professional.This person will be responsible for:The financial analysis related to eMBG (eBay Money Back Guarantee) program and external chargeback losses, including the monthly loss forecast for all partners including executives and regional finance teams. Requires partnering with teams in North America, the UK, Germany, FRITES, and Australia.Prepare monthly loss forecasts and annual loss budgets by collaborating with multiple business divisions guiding regional finance teams in Expense Management and Wall Street P&L Reporting.Create time series models to forecast claim counts enabling Payments Customer Service team in workforce management.Conducting analytical deep dives to understand key drivers of performance and highlight opportunities directly impacting losses.Developing end to end analytical and financial view on everything related to transactional losses.Being a trusted partner to the risk and trust teams to develop action-oriented insights and provide recommendations to limit losses and improve trust on eBayDriving accountability with partners by measuring results against plan and helping to ensure the financial safety of the companyFurther skills and requirements for this role:Strong partnership-building skills, ability to work across multiple teams (analytics, business, finance, and accounting).Strong communication skills: sharing practical business metrics, recommendations and risks that are easily consumed by business partners and non-technical audience, ability to up-level analyses and results for executive audiences.Capacity to work cross-functionally with multiple organizations to summarize information required for managing eMBG and external chargeback losses.Possess an exceptional grasp of business needs and priorities, quantitative aptitude, problem solving and comprehending complex and technical problems This person must have a good understanding of end-to-end analytics – problem definition, collating the required information, analyzing the results, and presenting a compelling argument that influences stakeholders to actTechnical Abilities:Advanced Excel and Intermediate PowerPoint skills requiredPrior forecasting or performance analysis experience a plusExperience with financial modeling, analytical methodologies, and testingSQL mastery required.
