Accounting Manager

We’re evolving streaming beyond the Apache Kafka® protocol into a unified “engine of record” that delivers a categorical reduction in complexity, wicked-fast performance, onboard Wasm transforms, and transparent tiered storage that gives consumers access to both real-time and historical data from a single API.   About the Role: To help support our global operations, we are building our Finance team and looking for an Accounting Manager to help lead the day-to-day accounting needs. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for the books and records, consolidations, process improvement, and financial reporting. With an opportunity to build and grow the team, we are looking for an Accounting Manager able to roll up their sleeves and perform the month-end tasks while ensuring that the books are accurate and comply with US GAAP. You Will: Oversee and process day-to-day transactions, working closely with external accounting support Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations and flux analysis for the entire accounting process (order to cash, procure to pay, bank, etc.) Own the company’s expense reporting process through reviewing compliance within policy and proper G/L coding Assist with the implementation of ASC 606, 340 and other technical accounting standards Assist with the migration of the ERP and other financial systems Drive business process and system improvements, with a goal toward automation and efficiency You Have: 3+ years of public and 2+ years of private accounting experience (preferably in software/SaaS) Strong understanding of US GAAP Bachelor’s Degree (degree in Accounting and CPA license preferred) Experience with an ERP (ie. Netsuite or similar) Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (ie. startup or pre-IPO), with the ability to take responsibility for delivering quality work in a timely manner Ability to think critically and work independently   U.S. base salary range for this role is $135,000 - $150,000 (CA). Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
