The Director of Sales Enablement oversees the development and implementation of company-wide strategy programs that align with corporate imperatives and OKRs. They manage a team of Sr. Regional Enablement Managers, Knowledge Managers, and Instructional Designers to maximize sales force effectiveness. They prioritize employee learning programs as a competitive differentiator and seek a candidate with a passion for creating innovative seller experiences, strong collaboration skills, organization, positivity, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
As Smartsheet Sales Enablement Director, you'll manage the Sr. Regional Enablement Managers team, Knowledge Managers, and Instructional Designers to optimize sales force effectiveness. You'll prioritize readiness and performance, establish guidelines for assessing training quality, and make changes if needed. With an employee-centric approach, you'll make learning programs a competitive advantage.
You Will:
Work with sales leadership to develop, execute, optimize and assess enablement programs globally
Serve as a liaison between sales, customer excellence, solution engineering, and product marketing teams to oversee end to end performance of enablement initiatives
Lead and manage a team of global Regional Enablement Managers, Knowledge Managers and Instructional Designers ensuring learning and development from new product/solution launches to ongoing learnings are established and executed in the field
Use data to drive better decision making and develop key metrics to review effectiveness of enablement initiatives and ongoing training programs
Create internal employee research surveys, focus groups, to better understand and assess pain points and gap areas
Align process & solutions with cross functional teams and ensure global consistency while maintaining local flexibility as needed
Make recommendations on program changes and conduct cost/benefit analysis of potential operational improvements
Identify individual and team training needs working with sellers and sales managers - build and execute on plans to fill gaps identified
Hold Regional Enablement Managers and Knowledge Manager & Instructional Design teams accountable for delivering and measuring outcomes of our sales strategy programs and regional ongoing training initiatives
Drive engagement in learning across all roles within the WorldWide Field Operations leavering multiple modalities
Use various methods such as live training, eLearning, virtual training, podcasts, documentation, best practices, case studies, success stories, role-playing, scenarios, and certifications to engage all roles in the WorldWide Field Operations Organization in learning
Other duties as assigned.
You Have:
8+ years of Sales Enablement experience
3+ years of global people management experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong time and program management, teamwork, execution and organizational skills
Solid and persuasive verbal, written and consulting communication skills, strong presentation skills
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, especially senior level leaders
Strategic thinker with global mindset
Self-directed, seasoned leader with experience at designing and rapidly implementing new programs
Proven coaching, developing and people management skills
Analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Project management skills and leading cross-functional teams
Strong SaaS experience
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Smartsheet provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $162,000 - $226,800 | All other US States: $150,000 - $210,000
