Business Operations Lead

Adept is building a machine learning model that can interact with everything on your computer. We are solving open problems in AI in order to train a neural network that knows how to use every piece of software we use in our lives – all in service of building our product, a natural language interface to your computer. For more information, check out our blog ! The Head of BizOps will be responsible for overseeing Adept’s day-to-day operations and driving improvements in efficiency, productivity, and performance. This role will require strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve organizational objectives. What you’ll achieve: Develop and implement strategies to optimize Adept’s business processes and operations to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance Lead initiatives across core departments, including including finance, accounting, data, organizational strategy, and PR/communications Manage external contractor/vendor relationships across core BizOps functions Identify and implement new technologies and systems to improve the organization's operations and processes Support cross-functional Business Development initiatives, including executing on Adept’s data and procurement strategies Play a key role in shaping company-wide objectives, and ensure streamlined communication of key objectives during weekly meetings Build out Adept’s BizOps team over time Skills and qualifications: 5+ years of experience in relevant fields, including tech, management consulting, and investment banking Experience managing teams of individual contributors and third-party contractors Excitement about shaping the operations of a fast-growing startup Ability to work with high agency, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong interest in AI/ML, but no direct experience required The pay range for this position in California is $150,000 - $225,000yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, candidate location, and experience.
